| Although I hate to use the word 'breakstep' as there are far too many stupid subgenre's of a subgenre, if you want to hear some nice rolling drum patterns then this mix is for you. I've always been a bit wary of this style of music because some of it sounds like slowed down drum & bass but there are some real proper basslines here which don't resort to the tired D&B 'amen' break. If you liked the Back to the Underground CD then you'll like this, and Warlock comes up with a more varied selection. |
